Chains and Stories

A chain story between a group of friends.

Shendron hobbled along to the house, ignoring the persisting feeling that his body was that of a porcupine. Absolutely ridiculous. These spines had always been there...

But there was no time to worry about this now. He had bigger fish to fry, but not a large enough frying pan. Oh bother. This required more thinking than he was ready for. If only Snot had been around to help him. He gently touched the gooey patch at the back of his head to remind himself of how it had once felt to hold Snot. I will miss my Snot, he thought.

Caught up in his sentimental moment, he didn't notice his mother reappearing on the scene. This time inside a large plastic bubble.

"Haha!" she said. "Now your spit will never reach me! You cannot escape now!!"

And with that she rolled the bubble towards him, looking like a giant hamster trying to steer its wheel in the right direction. She got up besides him and swiped the large chainsaw in her hand towards him. It deflected right off the plastic.

"Well now!" said Shendron. "This is going to be fun to play with..."
